The dealer hasn't said a word about my tuned and returned to stock truck.
It's been in the shop 3 times now.

Just loaded tune from new sct x4 to my 2103 f250 6.2 and like it!
Need to know if anyone has had good experience with a custom tune that reduces fuel consumption while towing? Looking to have a "flat lands" tow tune to use when towing in level or rolling highway. Ford factory while towing a 6000 lb rv camper really dumps the fuel in!

Hello - I just ordered the SCT X4 from 5 Star; I think it comes with 3 SCT tunes plus 5 custom tunes from 5 Star. I requested the 87 & 89 Octane Economy calibrations from 5 Star.

Did you get your economy tunes from 5 Star? The descriptions of these calibrations on the 5 Star web site just say "Stock Normal mode Shifting" and "Stock Tow/Haul Shifting".

I was wondering if anybody knew what's the difference between these "Stock" calibrations and what was programmed into the computer at the factory?

 

Our performance/tow tunes will help you tow you 6000 lb camper while consuming less fuel. If you drive it normally you will see a nice increase in economy, go heavy throttle all the time it will have all the power in the world and you will see regular/less fuel consumption.

The economy tunes will have stock like shifting with changes to give you the best economy. The performance/tow tunes will give you increased performance and a more aggressive shift pattern than factory. When you're in tow haul mode you'll see increased engine braking and a shift strategy built for towing at max payload capacity.
