I have the 79 Supercab Shortbed. I would like to know if there are any modern( last few years anyway) drop in liners and Hard tonneau covers would work regardless of what brand it was intended for. I saw an older chevy 1/2t that migfht be a candidate but I did not have a tape measure. Any of the 90's Fords have a similar sized bed? I have seen a few people also post about tool boxes and hard tonneaus. Could a secondary hinged that is locked most of the time, be used and released when access to the bed level tool box is needs ? Has anyone made an all metal( am thinking aluminum, old school with the slight pent up X for strength across the corners maybe? Any ideas? I now ******* can make me one but at over $2000 with shipping..

 

Mid 90's F150 Extra Cab shortbed works here's it installed, I had to stack some rotors so it flattens it out with the summer heat it should lay flat eventually. Other years will probably work too.
