cool...not a bad price for them either. You gonna make some typeof deflection plate, so road debris dont crack/break the cannister?

Its probably gonna get a coolant wrap and insulated bootie on it. This was a temporary install for my truck. I'm going to re-plumb my whole system soon, but wanted some time running it before I put it on a couple other conversions I have coming up. The thing is pretty dang tough though - I'm betting it would take a few good blows before breaking.

yup, it does look stout. I'm still have good/great success with the Fleetfilter base/filter combo. Does help its all contained in a box, in the bed....

Jason, you mentioned about re-plumbing your system. Why's that? I've noticed lately / recently, the amount of bio-lines i've got routed...(mostly aluminum tubing though), have seen better days...(not plyable as they were). Is that the reason and if so, i guess i should get in there soon?

My veggie system still works fine - even after almost 200,000 miles. I'm just doing a few things differently these days (CV's relocated from the heads for one) and I have changed fuel pumps, etc a couple times - because I thought Raptor/FASS/etc was 'better' than the OE PSD pump (WRONG!). So stuff isn't laid out as neatly as I'd like it under the truck.

If ya notice, I didn't even paint the bracket I whipped up for this filter... This was VERY hard for me, but I knew if I made something 'temporary' and made it look good it would be even harder to change it! It's hard enough to change it now because it WORKS!!! I'd just like to be able to show people 'This is what your's will look like when I'm done'.

I have the SAME aluminum TIH lines I used on my original install back in '06 and all the same PTFE-lined SS braided hoses I used on the engine when I got rid of the 'rubber hoses' in Jan '07. I did change the copper tubing on my coolant-heated filter wrap, but it didn't have any issues.
