UVCH IDM 42-Pin DTC Reference Material

None of the following applies to Pre-Superduty 7.3L Powerstrokes!

I modified my 42-pin picture to make it self-explanatory. I also scanned something for the gang:

I don't recall seeing this on the forum before, but I could just be having a senior moment. I think this is the most crucial page out of the whole PC/ED to untangle the injector-signal knot. A basic code reader, an ohm meter, and this page will pull the curtain back on the Wizard of "D'oh"s:

Rich... for which production years does this apply? I'm generating a downloadable two-page PDF for the forum and want to include that reference detail.

This fits all the documentation I have for Superduty 7.3L Powerstrokes. If anybody has a PC/ED for 2002 - 2003 that is conflict with this information, please let us know.

Fancy-schmancy. Maybe I should have just published the silly thing... I have the technology. Nope... can't do it. Too lazy.

Thanks for doing that for the group!

Glad to do it. I work with PDF file generation/modification often enough to where it doesn't really take very long at all. The ones that take quite a while are when I try to capture a long thread with tons of details, and that only takes a while because I cruise through and extract the details in a procedural format as a "summary" to the thread.

I offer these "soft services" to the group because I'm not nearly as knowledgeable as a lot of you other guys, and I like to make ti as easy as possible for everyone to be able to extract useful details that can be kept handy on their own computers. In the end, I have found that a downloadable PDF is much more handy than having to search through the forum or remember where I read about a particular subject.

I've already been thinking along those lines as well, but have been letting it (the thread) mature a bit while I am waiting to find the right "spare time" to start tackling it.

"Mature".... As in mold? I may start copying that stuff to a doc and streamline/update the text. I've learned more sensor limits since I posted some of the screenshots.

LOL... no... not "moldy"... "mature" as in additional questions & answers, thoughts, realizations, and input being captured as the information matures in peoples minds over time... sort of the way you "age" a fine wine before enjoying its fully mature and robust flavors!!

I just glanced through this thread again and discovered that I misspelled IDM in the file name, so I renamed it and attached it again for anyone else who may be as **** as I am about file names...

And yet another OCD patient is rolled in.

I checked, and it looks like you misspelled UVCH, not IDM.

Wow... you are right, Rich! Look back at my first one, though, and BOTH are mispelled!! The attached file in this message is NOW CORRECT!

Boy... we know who the OCD folks are in here, don't we?

Crap... I couldn't get past UVHC to get to IMD - it was like a trip wire for the OCD in me. "Get up, Tug. We have three more letters to read" "Can't! I'm tangled in the first four."

Oh the shame... we let that one slide for months - linking everybody to it. I feel I need a shower and a scrub brush.
