Voting Poll: OC April TOTM!!
Please see the Ohio Chapter rules for voting on these trucks and for rules about promoting your vehicle.
We have four entries in the first-ever Ohio Chapter Truck of the Month contest!! The winner has bragging rights for the month of April!!
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-and-tips.html
Voting will close in five (5) days (setup by the poll so I don't know what time). Trucks are listed in the order they were posted in the submission thread. I also limited the photos to four (4). If you feel one of the other submitted photos is a better representation of your truck I will be happy to switch one out but just trying to keep it from getting too messy.

RedDevil460’s 2002 F250 Crew Cab
Year: 2002
Model: F250 XLT 4x4
Mileage: 272,000
Motor: 7.3 Powerstroke Diesel
Trans:
How long owned/Year purchased: Purchased 2013
Upgrades/Mods: It came with a 4in MBRP Exhaust, TS-6position chip, K&N intake, Glowshift Gauges: EGT, Boost, Trans Temp, small Lift, 285/75R16 Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac's on stock rims, Westin bull bar, 05+ Grille with billet insert, Painted Bushwacker Pocket Fender Flares, Chrome door handles and rockers accents. It also has 2 8" subs and aftermarket door speakers, all with separate amps. Only thing I've added so far is tan WeatherTech floor mats.
Backstory: Ok here's mine. Its nothing too special, but why not, and I love it. This is my first truck and first vehicle. I got it back in December of last year, after at least a good 4 months of looking. It was by far the cleanest one we looked at, and was luckily almost exactly what I would have wanted if could have picked. Since I wasn't being too picky with a first truck, just wanted one in good shape that ran good, with little to no rust. And this was it and in my price range.
It is a white, tan cloth interior, 2002 F250 CC SB XLT 7.3 Powerstroke diesel, with almost 272,000 miles on it, had a little under 270k when I got, as you can tell I don't put too many miles on it.
Should be adding a head unit soon, so I can use my Ipod and because on the factory unit the volume *** is messed up it'll do all kinds of different things and is friggen annoying. So that's it so far, but I've got a lot plans for it, that I'll hopefully be able to get a start on soon. Its been running great so far, except for a cold start issue that I solved a while back, and I have been hearing a knocking sound intermittently, lately, but doesn't seem to be anything too major, hopefully just an injector. Which hopefully I can get figured out soon. Other than its been great, hope you guys like it.

Model: F150
Mileage: 80,000
Motor: 302
Trans: AODE, 3.31 gears
How long owned/Year purchased: Owned 7 months until it’s fateful demise
Upgrades/Mods:
Backstory: Smooth, good running truck, 80K miles. Really super clean too. This was 2009. I bought this truck to replace my Escort that had finally given up the ghost. Woman ran a red light at 45 mph and took me out. Totalled it.
Man, do I miss that truck
Sorry, that is all the good pics I have. I only had it about 7 months, til this happened:

Motor: 300 inline 6
Trans: 4-speed
How long owned/Year purchased:
Upgrades and Mods:
Backstory: I bought this truck at a farm auction when i was 15. The farmer that owned it was the original owner, and he told me all he did was haul feed and one cow with it. He had a station wagon for all his other driving. This was supposed to be my daily driver in high school, but when I started to work on it, it became clear this was gonna be a long project. The farmer took a paint brush to every scratch it had with whatever red paint he had, so I decided to repaint it.
When it came home...
Off with the bed to clean the frame up...
aaannnnddddd it's done (for now)

It is not against the rules to vote for your own truck. I laughed, too, when I saw 5 votes and we have 4 trucks!!
At this rate, we may not have enough trucks to make it to the end of the year!!
Maybe we should consider changing the rule that you cannot promote your truck? I mean, the idea is to get people into this chapter so maybe that rule is contradictory? Let me know what you guys think.

Yup only 5 apparently and they're all right here.....
I didn't vote for myself either.
We might not make it to the end of the year, and probably will eventually run out of trucks to vote on. It is pretty slow around here
I wish we could get more people in this chapter too. I think we have the members, but just not many that are active. I think we really need to get more people in here, but I'm not sure how. Other than going into every part of the forum that we frequent and posting up threads with big letters that say COME AND HANG OUT IN THE OHIO CHAPTER. I'm not sure if you can do that, or if that's the right way to do it but, I really can't think of much else. I just honestly don't know how to promote it. Its not like you can force everybody into it, and not everybody wants to get involved in it either. Just not sure what to do about it.

I am fine with recruiting attention! However....this is the Ohio Chapter so we need to target around that. Someone in Iowa won't help, LOL!! If you know people who are part of this chapter (or should be) and don't frequent the thread here - go ahead and hit them up!!
I only ask that you use discretion and don't go crazy and keep in mind it's probably more important to promote the OC and the TOTM rather than your specific truck. If you know Ford truck owner's that aren't even part of FTE yet - this could be a good recruiting tool! I think this poll ends this afternoon - so get to work!!

Hey freightrain, I bet your truck is a lot of fun to drive. That 428 has to give that little truck some ballz!
In all the years, we only get about 5-10 guys active here and usually not all at once LOL!
We're only missing Kevin and Brian, beside Randy and myself as "active" members for the last 10~ years.
I think GTG are great, but I don't see them happening often anymore. I remember back 15 yrs ago we had a diesel club from a different site(FOKISD, ford ohio kentucky indiana super duty) and we had weekend campouts and such. Very active group. With changes in life and the costs I don't see that happening anymore.
Times, they are a-chang'n.
