Trying to locate original part numbers

Hi All (again),

Still trying to sort out not so much Dana/Ford part numbers, but how to organise a specific search.

Have given up trying to identify the differing part numbers for the same part (previous post).

Would anyone know how to POSITIVELY locate either a Dana or Ford part number for the upper and lower ball joints on a 1976-1980 Ford F100 4X4 open Knuckle Dana 44 housing? I THINK that the same ball joint was also used in the Jeep CJ's and Inter Scouts same era (1976-1980). Seem to be readily available on fee bay, but often described as 'may fit other vehicles' and again very rarely are original part numbers available. Again, I THINK that regardless of being Dana 30 OR Dana 44, the same upper and lower ball joint was used. Would appreciate any help.
