6.0L Mechanic/shop in Yuma AZ recomendations

All

I have a F250 that has been sitting in storage for the last two years, and I am heading back to the states to pick it up. I first need to take it to a good diesel shop to get it checked out, change some of the fluids before I drive across country. Is there a reputable diesel shop in Yuma AZ that you all can recommend I take my truck to.

Thanks
Mano

Um... not sure if we have a member who is from Yuma, if we do he does not post in the AZ section that i know of. i think google would be the best bet or ask in the 6.0 section or S. Cali section. good luck!

I would call Ramco Transmissions & ask them for a reference. They are a real reputable shop for transmissions & may even be able to help you. They did work for me when I lived in Yuma. They are the only ones I would recommend. I never found what I would call a good shop, fair priced, outside of them.

They are located on 4701 E Gila Ridge Rd Gila Ridge runs along Hwy 8. They are between S Ave 3E & Araby Rd. If your in the USMC 3E runs right by the base in fact I believe the main entrance is off 3E. So just head towards the freeway turn right on Gila Ridge Rd just before the freeway.
I think they do more than transmissions. I know they do exhaust & fleet service. Phone 928-344-5360

Thanks for the info, I am in the Marine Corps and I know the area pritty good. I'll give them a call once I get closer to getting back to the states and I'll stop by there as well to give the shop a look over.

Thanks again for the info.

Thanks for Servicing. I grew up in a town that housed the largest Ammunition Navel Depot in the World. In Hawthorne NV. I grew up with Marines. So I never was in the Service Was Classed 1Y in 1969 because of my eyes. But certainly learned the USMC way. One of my best friends served as a Marine in Vietnam.
I ended up at Team Ramco on the advise of a friend in Yuma that told me they did great work & they stand behind their work. He had them do a tranny for him 5 or 6 years ago now & took off right after they finished hauling two bikes to Colorado. Well when he got to Colorado he started having tranny issues. He called Team Ramco & they got it into a shop where he was & he told me that Team Ramco told the shop to install another tranny, which they did at no charge for anything except he had to stay over one night. So he as I believe that when a shop is that good in standing behind their work you can't ask for much more.
They did an upgrade on a 4L60E that I was having trouble with it going into OD. They got it in & out in one day & I drove that tranny another 40,000 miles before I sold the truck with not another issue.
Safe travels back.
