Adding Cruise Control (with video)

Its been several months and to be honest I had kind of forgotten about it but I added cruise to my 07 F150 XL. I searched the internet looking for info on this and it took me a little while. So, I made a quick video how-to. Not sure if there is a how-to section here but I just wanted to share. I have yet to go to the dealership to get it activated, guess I'm a bit of a procrastinator.

cruise control

Any updates? Is it really that easy? Seems like there would be more to it than that. I have a 2004 xl 4.6, and steering wheel looks the same.

Has anyone else done this, and did it work good once ecm was reprogrammed? Could I do this to my 04'? I will order parts immediately if I can.
Thanks for the help

cruise control

So has anybody added cruise control? Is it really as simple as adding switches? I would think an ecu of some sort is needed.

I haven't done it myself, but I have looked into it and it is just a switch installation and computer reprogram by the dealership afterward.

Thank you! This will be great, I love having cruise. But since I purchased a base model xl, it doesn't have it. Has the same steering wheel as in video.

I will let you guys no how it turns out.

I did this several years ago on my 04 STX, bought on ebay a steering wheel with the buttons, took it to my dealership, they put it on and programmed the computer. All done!
