1962 F600, New Wiper Motor & Switch, Parks in Middle of windshield?
Just installed a NEW 2-Speed Wiper Motor, Pivots, Linkage, Arms an Blades and they park in the Middle of the windshield?
On the back of the Motor appears to be a white plastic cam adjustment with a 3/8" Hex Nut Molded on it coming out of the cover. Is this an adjustment for the Park Switch?
I would like for them to park at the base of the windshield and thought someone might know how to adjust the park position on the NEW motor.
Checked Manual but didn't see anything on how to do this?
Any Ideas?

Are the "new" parts genuine Ford? Did the truck come with two speed wipers originally?
The wiper arms (that retain the blades) have to be installed on the pivots in a specific location in order to get them to park correctly.
Put 'em in the wrong place, the arc is different and when turned off, won't go to the base of the windshield.

Genuine ford wiper motor, yes had 2 speed wiper motor and switch.
New motor - has what may be an adjustable park switch cam as the old one did not.
I will try to see if by loosening the cover, I can turn it. It has arrows on the cover showing it will turn.....will see and let you know.
It parks dead center of windshield or in the very middle of full arc range....??

I would pop the arms off, watch the pivots as they cycle...mark at the approx park location with a felt tip marker..if the sweep is correct..readjust the arms on the pivots..also, was the transmission pivot linkage installed exactly as removed...if its 180 off...Im pretty sure that would screw up the sweep pattern.

CHANGED TRANSMISSION (SHORT) ARM 180 DEGREES
I would pop the arms off, watch the pivots as they cycle...mark at the approx park location with a felt tip marker..if the sweep is correct..readjust the arms on the pivots..also, was the transmission pivot linkage installed exactly as removed...if its 180 off...Im pretty sure that would screw up the sweep pattern.

I first put the new wiper arms on at the base of the windshield and then when I wend to turn them on the motor being in the middle of the arc of motion tried to drive the arms in to the cowl and inside the cab.....
I believe even though this motor is the right part number, it looks like the park position is adjustable on the outside by loosening the cover screws and using a 3/8" wrench on the white plastic (molded) cam which positions the park switch? (I hope this will work) and then tighten down the cover screws locking in the new position.
I will try to get a picture of this and post....

1962 Ford F600 New Wiper Parks in Center of Windshield?
Well, after checking into this issue again, I pulled out the new motor and looked at the Ford/Motorcraft Box and compared numbers. They didn't match. So I went back to bench check my old 2-speed motor and it checked fine.
Removed the NEW Motor and Re-installed the OLD Motor and all works fine. Old motor is a little noisy, but works just fine. OLD Pivots and Linkage Bushings were the culprit in sloppy wiper arm travel.
I will try to post the numbers I have as I have (2) brand new NOS Motors that I don't know exactly what their application is for? They are both (2) Speed Bosch Motors.
I will see if Bill (Number Dummy) the Ford Expert can help me identify them?
I got some extra experience in removing and replacing the Wiper Motor....LOL.
