Well I tried ordering it from them. They took my order and then sent me a notice that it wouldn't be in for 30 days. I got suspicious and tried calling more local sources. I was told by one who is an ESAB dealer that he had not been able to get EasyGrind for a year and that he was told it had been discontinued. Then I called ESAB direct. The girl on the phone was very nice and when she tried to find stock said that there was a note in the computer that it had been discontinued and that there was a new part number. She said that she would contact the buyer to find out what is happening and would call me back. I'll post her response when she calls.

That's interesting since I know someone who received a spool of 0.023 and 0.030 from weldingsupply.com in the last few days.

They must have gotten the last spools. I just double checked with WS and they confirmed that there is a 28 day lead time. I got this in an email a couple days ago.

The Easy Grind wire came in yesterday from weldingsupply.com. . . faster than the 30 days they originally predicted. I tried it out yesterday and it is great. It is much more forgiving on varying thickness rusty metal even when cleaned. Thanks AX & ET for sharing that tip. I highly recommend it.

I decided to order another spool, just in case it does go out of production. I ordered it through weldingsupply.com on 6/7/14 and it came today.
