throttle solenoid question

throttle solenoid question
im trying to figure out some wiring. My fuse box has a fuse for the "throttle solenoid". I am looking over several wiring diagrams, but im confused about some of the naming. is the throttle soenoid and the Idle stop solenoid the same part? I have two wires (ones solid gray, the other is either white/black or black/white)going to a connector through my firewall on the passenger side that connects to another "two pin connector but the connector it connects to has a single wire coming out of it. this wire is just loose. Im about 90 percent sure this goes to the "anti-dieseling" solendoid on the driverside of my carb (2150 2bbl), but I would like some feed back. The solenoid on my carb has a broken wire that also is not connected.

I have seen where Ford will call the same part by different names in their shop manuals, parts catalogs and various other publications.
Pretty sure the "throttle solenoid", the "idle stop solenoid" and the "anti-dieseling solenoid" are the same, just different names.
My '78 S-cab has a two wire connector with two wires coming from it. One goes to the electric choke and the second goes to the solenoid in question.
If it was a bit warmer and not raining cats, dogs and an occasional frog I would check the wiring colors. But that will have to wait for another day.

I know this is an old thread, but a relevant question. My 1977, 302, auto, truck has the "throttle solenoid" with a wire off it. But it does not have a harness to connect it to. And if it did, I dont know where to connect it to. A friend of mine has this harness off the solenoid on a parts truck (pict below) that was coiled up and not connected. He needs it so i cant get it. But not sure this is what i need anyway.
I also have an electric choke like Roger Carter, so that means i may need a different harness? I found this (photo below) on line for a 6 cyl mine is an 8. Anyone know where to find this? or what it is called?
Can anyone tell me what i need and where the wires would plug into? Pictures would be great.
The third question is regarding the Air Conditioning Ambient Temperature Switch I found two of these on parts trucks and dont know what it plugs into. I have found that it is for a 1975-1978 Ford or Mercury
D5AH-19618-A. This is a a/c temperature sensor that fits behind the front grill. But no idea where it plugs in? Or if i need it. Pict below
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
