Please join me in welcoming slashfan7964 as the newest member of the NY Chapter. He hails from Indian River, NY and has a '85 or was it '95 that has had some minor motor work to make the 351W a little 'healthier'
So welcome aboard slash and it has been good to see you around the chapter.

Indian Falls, New York
It's about 16 miles west of Batavia, and about 6-7 miles north of Darien Lake amusement park. It's in Genesse county. I know the entire area very well.
Truck is an '85 F250 that is owned by my father. Started life with a 300 I6, tossed in a heavily built '74 351W, destroyed the bottom end then freshened up a 75 pretty heavily in a weekend and threw it in. Mated to a C6, has a wonky and unheard of dana 60 rear, 44 TTB up front, 33x12.5R16.5's, roll bars, custom bumpers and some other work. Rear bumper had to be put on with a forklift
I'd say the current motor, at least bottom end is all custom parts built to roughly stock specs but top end is an array of parts. From stupidly worked over 302 heads that bumped compression up nearly 2 points to a 69 16 bolt 4 barrel intake and some other goodies.
You can read some details if you head to my garage here. Don't forget to rate
If you've lived in Genesee county for any length of time, I'm willing to bet you've seen our truck a some point. Literally everyone knows us by it even though it hasn't been daily driven in about 6 years or so.
Thanks for the welcome, I'll be posting pics soon. I appreciate it and hope to be around for a long time. Old trucks and fords are my passion specifically the 80-86 trucks and I thank my father for getting me into the scene young. I just graduated high school this past year and am a 2 year mechanic by trade. I don't know everything but I am willing to learn. I'm currently getting into the classic car restoration scene. It's been my dream since I was very young.

I know where that is, though I haven't been there in a while. Agreed, always cool to meet a fellow New Yorker.
