08 Expedition transmission "jump"

I have an 08 Expedition Limited 4wd. Anytime I accelerate from a stop the tranny jumps into first and bounces forward. And the opposite as I'm approaching a stop, right before I reach a complete stop it jumps forward a little bit. I say a little bit to stress that its not pulling the truck forward as to be unsafe, but its a very hard bump. Other than that it runs and shifts fine. It seems to be getting worse.
I just had the dealerships $650 "tune up" done, not sure what all that entailed but it ran much better after having that service done. It did this transmission jump thing very slightly before I had the tune up. It's bad enough now that passengers notice and ask what it is.
I'm supposed to leave from Dallas TX driving to Northern Nevada for burning man. About a 30 hour drive each way. And much of it is hundreds of miles of desert with nothing around for a few hundred miles really don't wanna break down out there.
Also my gas mileage sucks. I get no better than 9 ever, used to get 12-13 hwy.
Any thoughts? There are no codes or warning lights up.

Can't remember for sure, but I think there is a reprogram available for the PCM to cure this problem.

If I am not mistaken 08, maybe it was 07, had a TSB for removal of the trans and installation of a clutch pack to help prevent the rough shifting.

Hmm

I've read a few other posts. It only happens after 15-20 minutes of driving. Which kinda leads me to think its not a programming issue. Guess ill just have to take it in :-/

Montecarlo31,
The clutch pack one was for the downshift "sqauwk" noise. TSB 09-6-1

Nickybear,
The one for the "bump stop" is TSB 08-22-7 this is a simple reflash of the TCM. Dealership will probably charge you whatever the 1 hr rate is.
