Taughannock falls state park

I'm heading up to your fine state this coming weekend, camping then catching the Nascar race at Watkins Glen. What are the must see things around or must do's. 1st glance at the weather looks great. Thanks.

Charlie, I've lived here my whole life (24 years) and I still ask myself that question haha

The Watkins Glen state park is beautiful and since you'll be right in that area you should stop in. I'm through there now and then for work I live about 45min north of Watkins.

Like George said, the Wineries. Route 14 North heading out of Watkins has quite a few all the way along the stretch up to Geneva.

That explains why I haven't seen it yet. Usually when I'm in that area I'm running down 96. Thanks!

Coming down 96 into Covert there is a left turn on E Covert Rd. Sign for Americana Winery. Go straight down to Rt 89, left turn, about a mile. Cider place on left. About 2 miles from 96. I'm about 1 1/2 miles from Americana.

Thanks for stopping in George. We had a little 2 state gtg, talked about the old trucks we had or still have. Beautiful waterfalls and gorges up in that area. Thanks, we did hit Americana.
