94 Fuel economy, gear ratios, tank size

I am in the process of buying a 94 F250 4x4, and have a lot of newbie questions. I haven't checked the rear end for a plate or numbers, but the seller says it has 4.10's. The rpms seemed low for that, at 60mph the rpms were just under 2000. (tires are 235 85r 16) It has the automatic trans with overdrive. Does this sound correct for 4.10 gears?

It has the factory dual tanks, what is the capacity? (It is the supercab, does this make a difference on tank capacity?

What is realistic mpg for these trucks?

The truck was built in May of 94, and has the turbo IDI engine (pre-powerstroke).

It does have some brake fluid seeping on the master cylinder, behind the reservoir, so I figure that will be my first project. Pedal feels good, but don't want it to get worse.

I have 4.10 and 235 85 16 tires with the C6 tranny but an aftermarket OD. You have the E4OD. So for all intensive purposes, we have the same setup. When I'm driving 60mph, I might be just around 2000 rpms (I don't have a tach), so maybe your rig is a 4.10.

My truck has the 4.10's, no turbo, and it's at just about 2k rpms at 60-65mph give or take a bit. I filled it today and got about 11.5 MPG, but I haven't been very nice to it lately. Best I've managed is about 14.2. That's with an E4OD, 4x4, extended cab, toolbox with junk, and other bits and bobs weighing it down, plus I have no clue if the timing has been done or the IP replaced. If it ain't broke...

I'm not sure about the fuel tank sizes, I think it was 18 and 16? The previous owner of my truck replaced the rear tank with a 45 (!!!!) gallon tank, and I don't use the front tank often since the gauge doesn't work on it.

19 gallons front, 18 rear. I've been between 14.4 and 18.5 mpg, seems to depend mostly on speed, with 4.10s anything above 65mph and the mileage seems to drop quickly.

I've got an 88 F250, extended cab, non-turbo(so with a turbo you should get better) 5-speed, GV and 4.11s... I've been getting 16.8 fairly consistently recently with mostly highway(62mph+-1mph) driving. I think I could/can get better... I've hit 19 occasionally, but it's also a well-worn engine.

Thanks for the info. The truck I was going to buy a couple months back never happened, and today I was fortunate to buy a 1994 F250 with 5 speed and 4.10s It has very low miles on it! Already wondering if it would be worth it to swap to 3.55 gears or something for gas mileage.
