2004 Explorer Eddie Bauer
I have a 2004 Explorer with 167,000 miles that has begun to display erractic messages such as, check charging system, low tire pressure, AvTrac off and about everything there is. Reset and everything looks good then messages start again. I am thinking computer module but would like some pro opinions from anyone on fixes. Thanks.

Hey Bruce, welcome to FTE bud!, I see you're having trouble with your truck, I'll redirect your thread to a better Chapter for you to get the info you're looking for. You'll find it in this Chapter: Explorer, Sport Trac, Mountaineer & Aviator - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums
Personally I would check the connections between the display, the computer and the main wiring harness, otherwise the ECM could be on its way out.

Also, consider changing out the battery if it's more than a few years old. It seems a lot of modern cars start doing some strange electrical things when the batteries age. Even when the battery tests fine and cranks the engine over fine, it might be just weak enough to cause electrical issues. And with your Explorer being a 2004 it could easily be due for battery #3 (assuming 4-5 years per battery).
For example, my wife had a 2002 Lincoln LS. For the first drive of the day she'd back down the driveway, stop in the street, and shift to drive. As soon as she did so, the car would stall. It always started back up with no problems and ran fine. I tried a few different things, nothing made a difference. Then, based on a post in the respective forum similar to what I typed above, I changed the battery which, per the date stamp, had only been in the car 3 years. The stalling never occurred again.
