Skiing...I've tried boarding a couple o' times, but I prefer skiing. Havn't skied in the past few years, the snowfall has been minimal.
I think Summit and Snow Valley have some of the best hills, for this far south anyway.
Man, there's nothing like a pontoon boat on Big Bear Lake. Low water lately, still a nice lake. It's nice up here in the off season right now. It'll pick up again, and it's back to work for me.

Lived there for a year a long time ago. I still go up occasionally to visit my friends, the LeCroy family, at The Log Cabin Restaurant. It's one of the places I plan on taking Bubba, Coronado, and Miss April (photos to be posted in my gallery if I can ever figure out how to get them in there). recently discovered the Waffle Iron Cafe in Apple Valley. It's a good place to stop on the way up.

Dumptech::The Log Cabin??! I love their fresh bread. I buy bread there a lot. The best! Eaten there too.
I see the Waffle Iron all the time on my way to Victorville for supplies. Always threaten to stop there and have a lunch, but I always put it off 'til 'next time'. Well.....Next time, I will.
socaljerry:: It's a beautiful place to visit, and live. Cool to hear from ya!!

Ironbelly: I worked at the Log Cabin about 20 yrs ago when I lived there. It was good then, it's still good. I grew up with the family before they moved up the hill. As for the Waffle Iron, when you enter, you're a neighbor. It's what life would be like if everybody just slowed down a bit. Don't wait 'til "next time".-DG
