From "another" F150 site...

NASCAR F150FORD'S LIMITED EDITION 1998 NASCAR F150

The Nascar edition Ford F-150 was introduced in 1998 to kick off Ford Motor Company's 5 year contract as the "official truck of NASCAR", as well as celebrate the 50th anniversary of NASCAR. Production of the NASCAR edition F150 was limited to 3,000 units, and the special order code 94N truck was only available for the 1998 model year. Part of a regional package, the trucks were mainly sold in the southeastern states, where stock car racing, and therefore NASCAR, has the largest following. All NASCAR edition F150's were produced at Ford's Norfolk assembly plant in Norfolk, Virginia. The NASCAR edition F150 was only available as a regular cab, 2wd pickup wrapped in XL trim. It is impossible to identify these pickups by VIN number, but since there were only 5 options available for order, the trucks are easily recognizable.

The NASCAR edition F150s were all painted black and featured NASCAR graphics/accents on the body. The interiors were grey with NASCAR embroidered accents on the seats and floormats. For powertrain, only the 4.6L V-8 engine and a 5 speed manual or 4 speed automatic transmission were offered. It is rumored that the 5.4L V-8 engine was in high demand at the time and was therefore not used, as Ford did not want to interrupt production of their standard pickups. Though the engine featured a unique FOU1 PCM code, engine output was equal to that of the standard 1998 4.6L V-8. A stainless steel dual exit exhaust system with Roush tips gave the truck additional styling. Many dealers installed polished wheels on these trucks to attract potential buyers, but all NASCAR edition F150s left the assembly plant with 10 spoke, black aluminum wheels.

The NASCAR edition F150 was only available in 1998, though a NASCAR accent package was available for additional model years (such as 1999). The accent package was a dealer installed add-on, and a truck with this option is NOT a NASCAR edition F150. Additional unique styling features include a 1" lower ride height, Roush air dam in the front of the truck, and Goodyear P255/70R16 Wrangler AP tires with yellow lettering.
