Parts interchangable USA to AUS

Thought it would be a good idea to start a thread to share what parts from lhd trucks fit our rhd trucks. Please share your experiences so internet purchases may be cheaper/easier!

All the heater box (IIRC) is unique to Aussie trucks, as is the parking brake assembly, the outer rear (quad) shocks/mounts, exhaust assembly

I can confirm a Curt Front Hitch on 2012 F-250 fits. There is a cooler that you need to unbolt and bolt back in, but it does clear everything and fits well.

I use it to carry a winch.

Also, on the 4.2 XL model - there are a lot of differences. Rear brakes, clutch/engine/transmission (although it is the same trans as fitted to the older 7.3's)

The 4x4 wiring for the transfer case is different! Really hard to get too! Make me wish I had put a manual transfer in instead of the electric one!

Thumbs up

Hi, my 2001 F250 ex qld ambo, which was made right hand drive in the factory, so far, anything replaceable has been a direct fit.
Recently I purchased an upgrade factory radio/CD with an Mp3 upgrade. Checked the rear connections to confirm the suitability and the new one slotted straight in, works like it's supposed to! Unbelievable, an interchangeable part that actually worked without any form of modification Should go and buy a lottery ticket

Cheers Russ
