Transfer Case Bushings

Transfer Case Bushings
The transfer case on my 1960 f100 4x4 is very loose. I tried just tightening the nuts down a little and ended up stripping out one of the nuts. Anyway, while I'm down there I would like to change the bushings out. The square mounts on the underside seem to be in perfect condition but the round ones on top are very cracked and worn. Where could I get these round bushings? Also do I need to take the t-case off the truck to change them or can I just do one at a time. There seems to be a washer of some sort keeping me from pulling the bushing of the top? Can anyone help me?

JJ; IIRC there is a sleeve between the upper and lower isolators. I'm unable to find the parts numbers in my book for these (group 6039?)
Numberdummy should be along shortly to provide you with better info and hopefully a source for these mounts/isolators.
Good luck with your project and you know we like pictures!!

Im not sure if you have a Dana 24 in your 60. If you do have a dana you might be able to get new TC case bushings from the bronco graveyard. Web site is bronco graveyard .com or google it. I have to replace the ones on my 65 dana as with out good isolaters I get a lot of noise transferred to the frame and into the cab.

I looked up the part numbers, typed them into three parts locator sites, none of which you've probably ever heard of:
Ford Dealer Parts Locator System, rearcounter.com & PartsVoice.com .. then gave you the info.
CALL the sources and ask, that's why I listed the phone numbers. Both Carpenter & Green have toll free 800 numbers, so it won't cost you a dime.
Go to: greensalescompany.com .. type the part number (B9TZ6039A like this, no spaces or hyphens) into their search box = THIRTEEN AVAILABLE.
