parts book help - number dummy
I found a 58 F600 that might be a great parts truck for my 57 F600. I am looking in the Ford parts book and see the hood is a p/n B7C 16612-A for a 57 & 58. My question is what does the "B7C" mean and what does the "-A" mean? The reason I am asking is the '57 has a single headlight and the '58 has a dual headlight. I want to be sure I can use the "58 hood on a '57 truck. Thanks

B7C-9940700-A Styleside Tailgate: 1957/60 F100/350; 1961/65 F100/250 4WD; 1961/66 F350; 1962/63 F100/250 2WD; 1966 F250 4WD
There are too many variations of A suffixes to list.
You aren't using a 1958 hood on a 1957, because they're the same: B7C-16612-A .. Hood Panel ~ 1957/58 F100/600.
