4th of July

So, what kind of plans does everyone have? Going to the beach maybe, staying home with the family like yours truly, or maybe staying up at a fireworks stand to shoot off all the fun stuff? I plan to go spend gobs of money of fireworks both legal and not so much, then me and the family plus whatever neighbors decide to stop by will watch them with us. It's generally what we do every year.

Just going to stay home and tinker. Someone has to keep the kitties calm.

Sounds good, my dogs only get upset because we are outside and they aren't. Plus when anyone else that isn't around them all the time steps foot on our street they go bananas... Otherwise the fireworks don't bug them too much. As for the cat, he doesn't like them much but he will usually hide somewhere till it's over.

We used to have a Cocker Spaniel that LOVED the 4th.
She did not chase things but was happy to hear the booms and pops.
Long floppy ears helped to muffle the blasts.

Our small Rat Terrier would chase some of them if he could. I don't know if he likes too or if he thinks it's a threat...

I am going to bed in a few. I have to go deal with the Voc Rehab door ****
that the state rehired. This is the same one that screwed me over once before.
NOT HAPPY not one bit.
I won't go into any details on the open forum.

My brother and I will be racing at Monroe/Evergreen Speedway. They put on a HUGE 4th of July event. IMO it's the single best spectacle of real American freedom and celebration in the State.

Outside of a firing range of course, now that is the sights and sounds of freedom.

Still have all 8 fingers and 2 thumbs. All in the right places too.
The cats were a lot calmer this year and no drugs (for them).

One of the males (Tetsu) spent about 800.00 in vet bills last month.
He had a bad UTI. It would clear up with meds and then come back.
The third time they did a culture to see what it was and get the right
antibiotic in him for it. He will be on then for four weeks this time not
the usual 7~10 days. Then get rechecked to make sure it gone.

Last night went smooth for us, we had a few mortars and some other things that go bang, but everyone has their limbs and no one got hurt.

My mom had a cat that got frequent UTIs. He would also develop crystals in his bladder,,, and that would block him from being able to "go".

They had to be surgically removed.

They finally removed his male apparatus in an effort to make the exit large enough he could pass them. It didn't work. Over $5,000.00 in vet bills,,, and she still lost him
