Anyone in the UP?

I've bounced around the FTE chapters due to work: Colorado, Mass. and now the UP. Plan on sticking around here for a while. All of the FTE people I've met around the country have been great. Hope I can lend a hand to someone. I'm in the Houghton area. Have an AE and access to a shop...anyone near by?

Sorry. I'm in Traverse City. There are some occasional visits from other yoopers.

We always find stuff to do. We kinda keep to ourselves on our property...fishing, clearing firewood, offroading, scouting for deer blinds and stands. We do make it into town occasionally and belly up at one of the 4 local watering holes.

Still remember snowmobiling on Drummond. Can't remember the name of the place, it's accross from a gas station I think. Walked in and sat down ordered ice tea, due to being on the sled. Local cam in threw a quarter on the bar and got a 16oz draft, sat there a little while later and another local came in and ordered a pitcher and put $1.25 on the bar. I started looking for a place to stay.....LOL.

That sounds like the Berzerk hour at the Northwood bar. It was legendary around here. For 2 hours, drinks were 25 cents and pitchers were 1.00.

The bar has changed ownership and no longer runs Berzerk. Quite sad really...

Now I guess the only reason to go up there is to hang out with you.
