Hey all,

I posted this question in the 4.6 area of the forum but dident get a responce so I was wondering if anyone could help me out....I just wanted to know on a tight budget...what are my best options to pull as much horsepower out of my 4.6 as I can. Thanks for the help!

There are plenty of go-fast parts for the 4.6L engines. Most of the stuff will likely be listed under Mustang headings though. You might want to check out some aftermarket Mod motor specialist like Sean Hyland Motorsports or someone like them.

i think the best bang for the buck in your case might just be to bolt on a supercharger. I know outright they are spendy but the result is overwhelming and it will pay for itself time and time again. And they make the kits so easy to install , anyone with minimal knowledge could do it in the driveway. the cost/power is great. check out vortech, ati procharger, kenne bell for good products.

If i put a supercharger on...do i have to do any other mods???? I gues I want to know if putting a supercharger on will lead to any engine problems (because of the HP Gain.

it shouldnt, the 4.6 is a stout motor. just dont run more then 6lbs of boost with the stock internals but it should hold up fine.

 

Will the tranny take the extra power?
