Hey youins, it's June!

Happy June everybody. Summer starts in a couple weeks, maybe I can get my sunchaser together and then pick up the 4wd sunchaser and get it together as well.

Where the heck did my Spring go?! I needed that month or two to get stuff done BEFORE June! So much for having the Chevelle done. I don't know about you, but I for one, am DEFINITELY not ready for summer yet. Too much to do.

On a side note, 351W blocks are pretty heavy. My back informed me this morning that I should not have picked the block up out of my truck and carried it over to the engine stand yesterday.

....not one of my more lucid moments, that's for sure.

Good morning!

I haven't got my Spring list done yet either Alan.

I'm not terribly sure what's on the agenda for today. If the rain clears up, I need to get the brakes on the van finished and the battery charged. Someone down in Roby is having a food auction this evening so the wife and I thought we'd go check it out. Neither one of us has ever heard of such a thing so there's only one way to find out.

For the record - I hate shopping for tires. The wife had squirreled some cash away and she wants a quieter tire than the mudders. There's almost no choice around here and everything new is starting at $150 and goes up from there. The cheaper ones have almost no treadwear rating which means I'll be looking again next year. Arrrrgh....

Everyone must be busy today or at least busier than I have been.

Most of my plans for the day got thrown out the window. First it was the weather and now my wife is pretty sick and I don't feel right getting too wrapped up in anything at times like this.

I have managed to come up with a plan regarding tires. I got pretty disgusted after making a few phone calls here locally and finding almost nothing under $150 each. I decided that I would bite the bullet and search online. That wasn't much better and I put that aside to look for a dipstick for the Durango at E-Bay.

I didn't find a dipstick, but those targeted ads that drive me nuts led me to Discount Tire Direct's E-Bay store. I was able to score a set of new Cooper Discoverers for well under $150 each, a $60 rebate from Cooper, and free shipping. Even with having to pay for mounting & balancing I will have spent less than I would have for lower quality tires.

Hopefully after dinner I can get started on the van if the wife is doing ok.

Well hello June and you fellas this am. We spent fri night in Carthage Mo in Penny's youngest daughters basement.....

But I got to hang out with the two youngest grand kids on sat, that's always fun.

Home now and other than a bunch of rain water things are fine here, no carports on any trucks this time. lol.

Chip thank you for starting up June, and no my phone does not receive pics, I know I am way old school tech wise.

Get me your regular email address to wrangler_rich@hotmail.com and I will send you some door insert/roll bar pics if interested.

Good Morning Everybody!

Good stuff on the tires, Dave. I need a set for both of Tiff's cars, maybe I'll check them out, myself.

I got the rotating assembly of that 351W done. Today I'll get that buttoned up and hopefully get back on the Chevelle.

We had a great time watching our friend's band play at Cartoon's last night. Their singer moved away to Colorado and has been flying in for gigs every now and then. It was getting to be too much, so last night was their last show.

Anyway, the coffee is going down nicely and I'm getting ready to stand in the shop leaning over an engine for a few more hours. Everyone be good.
