Picked up a new toy!
Well it's far from new actually... This thing started its life in the 50's as a thing to pull reel mowers on a golf course. The guy I bought it off of bought it for his kids to play with, but they had no interest in it (spoiled brats just saw it as an old piece of crap), and when his kids said they would no longer visit him, he decided it was time to get rid of it. That's where I came in. When he told me he wanted to scrap it I asked him what he wanted for it... $200 and it was mine. One fuel pump later it runs, and a wheel cylinder later, it stops.
Now the technical stuff. It has a ****** front axle as far as I can tell, I don't know the rear end. It used to have a ****** engine, but that must have blew up and was replaced with a GM 2.5L 4 cyl. (It'd be soooo much cooler if it had a flathead in it). It has a 3 spd auto as far as I can tell, and it also has a transfer case on it which I feel they used it to gear it down to pull the mowers. Here's some pics of this funky thing.
When I got it home...
After a bath...
