5.4 intake manifold question?
I have a customer that has a 2000 expy 2wd with a 5.4. It has the plastic intake and the crossover tube from the thermostat that is leaking. I understand that the usual repair is to replace the intake. My question is, I found an aluminum intake from a 99 5.4 (part# XL3E-9425-EB). This motor does not have the crossover tube. Can I use this part to repair the 2000 expy? Are they interchangable. Please advise.
