line-x problem

So I had Line-x sprayed into my truck bed last week and it looked great when I picked it up. However today I went out and found that a bubble about 1 inch wide and 4 inches long has developed on the plate that is bolted on to the inside of the tailgate. I called Line-X and they are going to look at it tomorrow and I have no doubt they will try to repair it. My concern is that the way to repair it is to cut out the bubble and re-spray and in doing so it will not have a smooth appearance but show the repair. Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue and if so how the repair looks.

Thanks
Larry

If it shows, just have them redo the whole plate.

I've never had a spray in liner, so can't help there. But I have a question, do they normally just spray the whole tailgate at once, and just cover that access plate at the same time? I'm wondering how convenient it is to work on the latch mechanism if they do. I'd think on the tailgate, I'd just use a tailgate protector. But, well, that's just me.

The panel is lifted, the guts covered, and sprayed all at once. The access panel is not sealed in. At least that's the way LINE-X does it.

Thanks, it looks like someone actually thought out the process. Looks like a nice job as well.
