Thanks. Seems everyone in the Jackson area avoid working on 6.0s like the plague.

 

Have you contacted Tri State Mack? They are the local Navistar dealer. The 6.0 is a Navistar engine. It is not real popular and like you found out, not many mechanics want to touch it.

 

I know its way late, but there's a guy located in Flora who does good work on 6.0's. We have had all of ours worked on by him. PM me if you still need the assistance.

They work on PSD 6.9, 7.3, 6.0, 6.4, 6.7, Cummins and Duramax. John has the Ford computer equipment. My 2012 6.7 was the first on in his shop. Out of warranty and parking lights would not turn off. Diagnosed with computer, replace BCM and reset.

These guys are good and work on 6.0L and seem like they are doing it right every time I've worked with them.

Most guys don't like the 6.0 because most repairs require pulling the cab. My guy here has 3 lifts in his shop. He likes the 6.0.

 

I'm actually in Meridian looking for someone to install some head studs for me and a new oil cooler. Any suggestions?
