Is this a good price?

Been around for a while, joined last year, and now my first post. I've been trying to learn as much from you all as possible before I purchased. Hopefully I can pull the trigger next week.

What I would like to know is if the price for the truck I found is really good or can I get it for less. The truck is a 2013 F250 XL CCLB 6.2L 4x4 3.73 E-Lock Power windows/ locks/ cruise color-white. MSRP $39,300. Sale Price $33,870.

I would say yes. My 2012 F250 MSRP 40,895 sale price was 32,895 and worked it down from there.

I will definitely continue to negotiate lower. I just hate that there is no real transparency in the pricing of new vehicles.

And as is the standard in this forum...no pics, it didn't happen.

It seemed like 7-10k off of msrp was the norm back when I was shopping around, so it seems the same still stands.

Keep us posted, and good luck!

I used X-plan when I ordered mine but you can still negotiate on an ordered truck.

I ordered a 2013 F250 XL Super Cab 8' box and got about $5,000 off MSRP. That's with the incentives offered 3 weeks ago. If the incentives get better, I'll save more. I feel like I got a fair price for my trade in. Nothing to write home about, but fair. I walked in with an X-plan code, but they beat that price. I didn't bicker back and forth alot, but I did spend a couple weeks on-line and going to dealers shopping around for a unit in stock while checking what they go for. One dealer said something's wrong 'cause the price I got was too low (douchebaggery). I had the offer in writting, so there wasn't much to dispute. I also had a "target price" from the car buying service with USAA, but that's for vehicles in stock. Others may get a better deal, but I'm happy.

I just bought a very similar truck except its a 2012 CCSB. Msrp the same and out the door under 35k with a dealer 18" tire/wheel upgrade. I shopped several dealers online and let them know thats what I was doing.
