Ok, will open an account with PB later.

Just so you know beforehand, the truck is a cab with doors only. No bed or front clip. I do have the hood to go with it.

The VIN says 155" wheelbase which is normal for this truck. The frame has been shortened to fit an utility bed which put the wheelbase at 145". There is no bed on the truck right now. If it were me I'd shorten the frame another 6" to fit a short bed on it and call it good.

Let me work on PB account later tonight. Check back later.

I am not sure I see where the frame has been cut. The axle appears to be in the correct place, please explain.

Haha! Yep, it's been shortened. Even I was fooled by the job and didn't find the area until a few days after I hauled it home.

The cut is right in front of the forward rear spring hanger. It has a fishplate on the inside rail. It was done right and very clean, too.

I can take pics of the area up close to show it if you want.

Yea man if you wouldn't mind. I just don't see any alteration. It must be after the transition line where the frame is wider under the cab, and get's skinner as it goes up. I can't believe you can't see the outside line. Also did you put a tape measure between the center of the hubs to verify? Thank's for my b.s. Todd.

Yep, when I was looking at the truck when I first got it, I checked the VIN and it said 155" but standing back to look at the overall stance with the utility bed on it made it appear like a short bed. So we got a tape measure and measured the center of the hub to hub to come out with 145". After verifying on this site that Ford never made a 4x4 short bed, I checked to find out what a true SC SWB is and it showed 139".

I will get the pics today after work of the cut areas and fishplates.

Hey thanks for the pics, I see it now. What kind of shape are the floors in? What is the story of how this thing ended up like this if you don't mind saying? The only other part you have is the hood? Thanks Todd.

Perfect. The factory paint is still visible under the cab. I can crawl back under and take pics of the underside if you want. I can also remove the carpet to take pics of the sheetmetal under there, too if you want.

This cab is about the most perfect one you will ever find anywhere for the year. Its screaming for a cleanup job and/or even restoration. I can't even type in words how perfect this cab is.

Oh yeah, I bought this truck as a non-runner since the farmer parked it back in '07 and therefore pulled the motor, tranny and t-case out. I still have the motor which is a 400 but sold the C6 and 203. The front clip sustained some damage due to a hit as the bumper was slightly bent and the fenders curved up like they're known to do after a front hit. Only the hood was worth saving from the clip.
The truck would have been an easy runner if I rebuilt the carb but I'm a guy who buys trucks to part out to sell the best parts to those who need them. Basically I saved this truck from any damage or crushing so now I'm trying to find those who NEED this cab in order to restore their own rigs. But the rest of the stuff with the cab are worth saving and using also so I'm now trying to sell everything as a unit rather than parting because I'm on very, very limited time. I know I can make more on all this stuff if I part them out but like I said, no time.

So I noticed that the paint is rough. Is it thin? It's kind of funny seeing the farmer's arm rub out the driver's window. I am interested but you said best offer. I am not trying to insult you, but there is a 78 f350 4x2 in Dodge for a grand. That being said I am looking at a 1200 mile round trip to get it. I do not need the axles. I have a 78 250 reg cab drivetrain, 460, c6, dana 4.10 axles, great ft. clip, hood is iffy, so if you would maybe sell everything but the axles what would think you might ask? Like I said I am going to have about $600 if fuel, so I have to buy right.

Paint is rough as in chipped and faded due to the farmer living and driving on dirt/sand roads. This cab needs paint but very minimal body work such as small hail dents. It will not need any rust repair at all.

Lets see, if you're not wanting the axles but want everything else, I could probably come down to $800 for the leftovers. Even at this price, it'd be a steal because I was contemplating listing just the cab and doors on eBay with a reserve around $1000.
