My truck was possessed yesterday

We took a 650km trip yesterday and on our 2nd stop I filled it up with gas. We stopped maybe 20 minutes then when I got in the truck the seat was all they way forward (that happened before except it was all the way back last time) So I turned the key and the starter just ran on without the truck starting. Shut it off and repeated 2 more times, then on the 3rd try it started but ran like it was flooded for about 30 seconds and it sounded like the cam phasers were rattling. So off we went and it was fine for the rest of the day. Gonna take it to the dealer next week as I have a few issues like the reverse sensors act up up after washing the truck and I have a thump in the front when I first engage 4wd. Also shifts kinda funky into 3rd and 5th sometimes. Thank god for extended warranty.

It is starting to seem to me that the 09, 10 trucks were the best of the breed. I just about bought an 09 F250 V10 that was the previous truck of the guy who owned the 11 I bought. I had that one for 3 days and loved everything about it from the nav and sound system to how it drove. The 11 I have does not drive as well or do anything as good as that 09 it would seem and the 09 just seemed tighter and better built if memory serves me correctly. But I own the 11 and will have to make the best of it (not that it is a hardship to own mind you). Of course the dealer could find nothing wrong with the truck when I took it in although they did hear the noise in the front when it went into 4wd and said it was not normal and swapped the front hubs side to side but the noise stayed the same and didn't move. They sent a tech request to Ford who came back with a BS line about engaging 4wd on high traction surfaces (It does this on glare ice so I am not sure what they would consider slippery) which needless to say has pi$$ed me off and I now have to pay for the shop time @120.00 per hr. I guess the next time I take it to the stealership it will have the guts of the tranny or something laying on the ground before I darken their door.

My experience is the opposite...when I shift in to 4WD I don't hear a single noise. A couple of weeks ago I shifted in to 4WD and my neighbor was outside of the truck. When I was done he asked if I really shifted it in, becuase he heard nothing. And yes, truck was definitely in 4WD because I was stuck LOL.

I do have manual 4WD, so maybe that has something to do with it.
