I googled quite a bit and found discussions on this board and others related to the TOT sensor but none described the location of the sensor and connection. Other posts indicated that pulling the 636 KOEO code probably indicates a bad connection and not necessarily a bad connection. Can anyone describe roughly where on the transmission this is located? Getting some rather firm shifting and this is the only code related to the tranny.
Getting a code on it and looking for possible sources for firm downshifts. From perusing other threads, the suggestion is to clean the connection. I assume there is a harness connection on the side of the tranny somewhere
should be a plug on passenger side top of the lip above the pan
try some contact cleaner then dielectric grease chech the pins for corrosion or being bent over-the whole pack comes as a unit-last one I got was around $300 from Ford
had no luck finding it any place else

If the transmission (and engine) was not warmed before running the KOEO tests this code is very common and not valid.
