Heeey you beat me to it . Hopefully this year will be a good year for fixing up the bronco. So much stuff on the list but so little money.

It's that leafy green crap that you never see in your wallet Oh well, last night I worked 5 hours worth of sitting on my bum watching customers. Surprisingly only 1 drunk chick came in. She asked for directions to the muckleshoot casino and didn't like the directions we gave her. Even though they were real simple. Then she bought a FourLoko drink and left. A few seconds later she came back and asked to get a cup and straw.... Probably should have refused but whatever. Maybe she got pulled over or ended up down in Kent or something. Who knows.

Debating on trading my buddy my 95 BMW M5 seats for his factory 79 Bronco buckets, I like the beamer seats but in order to properly wire them I need to put in a bigger fuse box, that I got out of newer lincoln car with trunk mounted battery. Anyways, really being lazy and can't afford the down time on the truck for redoing the whole wiring system, since this is the BS section figured I'd get opinions on taking the easy/functional route or get off my a$$ and spend a few days under my dash with a soldering iron?

Putting BMW seats in a bronco? That would be odd but ok. Kind of depends on if the bronco seats are in good condition and if they are lowback. If they are lowback you might get uncomfortable on a long trip. I have a lowback bench in my 78 bronco and it can be quite overbearing if you drive for a long time. Then again the foam on the bottom section is toast so i can feel support bars.

Anyways, It kind of depends on what you are looking for. Those bronco seats won't be anything like BMW seats. But it would help with keeping the bronco look fairly stock on the inside.

Seat swap decision

I have a 78 crew cab short box and have the BMW seats partially in, the driver side is bolted up and "kind of" wired in. In order to properly wire in the seats they require 8 powered circuits each for 3 individual motors and the heaters, my buddy has a 79 Bronco and being 6'5" tall the factory buckets are at a lack of adjustment for him so the BMW seats would allow him a LOT better fitment. Just juggling the idea, my other motivator is he really wants different seats but can't afford anything.

That might not be a bad trade then. Keeps your stuff original and gives your friend good seats.

My buddy optioned out of trading seats so that option is off the table. Checking junkyards for nice seats, might go with a newer split bench or a late 80s early 90s bench with the drop down armrests.

i had a crazy idea i thought i'd bounce around here and see what y'all think

as you guys may have noticed in my posts around here, i'm powering air compressors off my van, so making that more efficient is always important in my mind. as it sits right now, my small compressor makes more CFM for less amperage, at the same pressure as my big unit, but i hate committing all the extra volume to it. as a result, i upgraded my inverter to a 2000w unit so its big enough to power my big unit with power to spare. thats when i realized how slow the big one pumps.
that got me to thinking that maybe i could play some redneck games and make it a 2-stage compressor so it would pump faster. my idea was to take an old AC compressor powered by maybe a 1/2 hp motor, and have it outlet plumbed into the inlet of the big compressor, with the hopes that i'll only draw a few more amps but pump twice as fast, on the same principle as putting a supercharger on an engine.
does this sound like a reasonable idea to you guys, or does it sound pretty stupid, or just inefficient?
