Adding Power Brakes to my '63

Is there an easy way to add a power brake master cylinder and booster to my '63. My truck originally had a standard M/C with one line out to all four wheels.

I would like to change it out to a dual M/C system with a vac booster. I still have drum brakes on all four wheels. Will this be a problem with a dual M/C setup? Will I need to install a bias system or balancer with the dual M/C?

On line kit includes the MC, booster and splitter valve for a drum/drum system. Check out master power brakes or any of a half dozen suppliers.

I did exactly this on my '63. I bought the $300 Booster/dual master cylinder kit from Classic Performance Products and it bolted right up to the firewall and brake pedal. You will need to split front/back lines from where they converge to separate the front and back. I got everything I needed to complete it from my nearest chain parts store. You will not need a proportional valve if you are keeping it drum/drum, as I did. This is a huge improvement and pretty easy to do. While you're doing it I'd suggest you replace all four wheel cylinders and if you have the single-piston front wheel cylinders, replace these with dual-piston cylinders.

Here's a link to my brakes thread where I talk about all this and more: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...questions.html
