05 Escape 3.0L Hard Start/Rough Idle
Been a long time since I've messed around in the gas world since I drive a 7.3L Powerstroke, but my wife has an 05 Escape. It was running great all weekend until after I filled up in Vegas to head home. I'm guessing the fillup is just coincidence. On the way home, first place we pulled off, the engine was running rough at idle. It is worse when in gear and under load than it is in neutral. Comes off of idle fine, no hesitation, or lack of power. After stopping a couple times on the way home, it is taking longer and longer to start each time we start it. Seems to be running rich and smell of raw gas in the car. Sounds to me from research tonight that it might be a coil pack. Any thoughts? Going to hookup the computer tomorrow and scan it after I get home.
I have also checked the access cover for the fuel pump and no leaks around there, cleaned the IAC since it was quick and simple and no change. Haven't touched the MAF sensor yet.

Haven't had a chance to take it for a drive just yet. After cleaning it, I cleared the CEL and it started right up and no missing at idle. DEPF showed 1.05v at idle instead of the 5.6v it was showing before cleaning the EGR. Wife is going to drive it today and see how it does. Seems to have cured the issue.

The other day wife put fuel in her mazda before class. On her way home, everytime she came to a stop the tribute would sputter and idle rough. It drives just fine above 1500 rpm.
When I went to start it. It took a long time to fire. I had to push the gas petal down to get it to fire. Once it was running the idle was rough, and at time I thought would die. I could smell fuel from the exhast.
I have replaced both the upper and lower intake gaskets. Replace the IAC. Nothing has worked. I checked for leaks using a carb cleaner on the fittings. I think. I heard a hiss somewhere behind the intake, near the firewall. But, I have not found where that could be coming from.
Anyone have any suggestions?
