DIY spark plugs???

This might sound dumb but I have owned diesels since 1999 and lease cars for the wife. My 1993 Mustang is old school. What I am trying to say is I kave no idea how to deal with these spark packs. I found on you tube how to unplug them but do I just pull them off after that? I want to check the gap on my 2013 Ecoboost. I dont want to break something doing so. Thanks for any tips.

Are you having an issue with your truck?

The coil packs are attached by one screw. Unscrew the coil pack and simply pull it away from the plug. The coil may separate between the tube and the coil head, simply put it back together.

I would take the truck tot he dealer and have it looked at if you suspect an issue.

No I'm not having an issue just figured I would check to see what the gap was at. A lot of people seem to say that that is an issue with their truck. I was at Livernois's and they said both their trucks needed to be regapped to 32. They said the truck was noticeably smoother after doing that.

I tightened the gaps on my plugs. It's really easy to do on these engines.
Yes just unplug the coil, remove the screw and pull the coil off.

I must have fat hands. I cant grab these things. I just put the cover back on and will wait for nicer weather to mess with. I was tugging and tugging with no luck. But way to cold to spend to much time fooling around. With my luck something will break and just make my day, for something I am not sure if it really needs to be done. Thanks for all the info.

Happy Holidays
Tim
