Last week i saw tons of deer at the pecan orchard, on the chilly nights. Had to go real slo on my moto with bright lights on and scanning for any movement left or right or glowing eyes. This week i hadnt seen any deer at all. Odd. I guess the constant up down temp changes coincide with their traveling/feeding habits? Good luck, and watch out for the poachers.

So when is the deer burger BBQ? LOL.....

My hunting kills aren't anywhere near as impressive. Just a dozen or so mice, and 1 snake. All taken with a plastic BB gun and plastic BB's, aside from the snake which got the CO2 powered BB gun with steel BB's.
Oh yeah, these were all in my living room or kitchen. Most of the mice have been killed while I sit in my recliner. Indoor hunting, what a hoot.......

I think your clock is off. And the date as well? Amazing what you can see, though.

Nice Racks!!! And those look like some well fed deer. Do you keep the food trough full during the season?

I saw a deer a week ago, just a hundred yards away from my sons elementary school. It was in a small field sitting in the middle of subdivisions and roads and human encroachment. Odd. Never seen one come that close to us humans since we've lived her.

Our son lives in Delaware and the deer there come into the yards and eat the gardens. He takes his German Shepherd and Choc Lab out to do their business and has to make the stay in the yard instead of chasing the deer. And car/deer accidents are more common than car/car. So, given the way they are increasing here and the decreasing number of open fields we may be seeing them up close and personal a lot more as well.

I have keep some feed out all this year but none of those bucks were taking advantage of it. the good rains and cooler temps this year have really helped the deer heard this year, they had lots of foliage to munch on all summer long. Also those are older deer and they getting bulked up for the rut, they will loose as much as 30 lbs during the rut.

the NE is bad for deer and overpopulation, and we are headed that direction as well. I have deer come in my backyard every night, the neighbors hate them cause they eat there gardens and flowers all the time. I know some guys in NJ they do not ask if I have killed one but how many, they kill 8-9 each up there, I don't even think they have a limit up there.
