installing overhead cab clearance lights

Don't know what they're called, cab lights? Anyways, is it possible to install without removing the headliner?

Overhead cab clearance lights. Or cab lights.

I changed the title for you to get some interest for you.

And yeah, you gotta pull the headliner down far enough to access the roof.

Here's the most common How-To people follow: http://www.emotoman.com/f250/lights/f250lights.htm

did this on my old F 350. Took about 2 hours, not the funnest thing drilling holes in the roof, but was actually quite easy. I didnt have the overhead console so it was a bit easier than this looks, I bought a harness through Ford and it was plug and play. (from the kick panel to the lights)

See if there is a template for the holes available too. I used managed to find one when I installed cab lights on my Dodge, measure once, double check, and when you think you have it right, check again. I also used a Greenlee knockout punch for the 5 large holes for the light plugs to pass through, leaves a nice clean hole with no distortion.

I know this isn't exactly what the OP is asking, however i think the Lund MoonVisor is a much less "scary" approach, and looks a lot better in my opinion.

I've got one on my truck and love it.

P.S. the previous owner installed it. I'm not sure if the headliner had to come down for it to be fastened to the roof or not, however i know the wiring is simply wired up to the neg battery terminal on the passenger side and the positive is hooked up to the parking light feed (on with the headlights or with one click of the headlight switch)

I've had the Recon cab lights sitting in the back of my X for quite some time. I just can't seem to find the time to get them installed.
