New Guy with some Fords

Hello everyone my name is John I live in Las Vegas and I have a 2006 F350 SRW 6.0 diesel, and a 1954 F100 with a 352 and a 9" rear end. I just bought my 54 and Im new to the restoration game, Ive been a mechanic for a while just never ventured into this type of mechanics. My 54 I just I just got last week and it had a 59 f100 long bed on it and upon removal of that ugly thing I found that the frame had been cut behind the cab and extended 9" or so, and also I have found plenty of bondo spots that were very unnecessary. If anyone has any info on where I can pick up a frame that hasnt been molested or a short bed that fits PLEASE let me know. Other than that my F350 is mostly stock I have a catless exhaust and a kenwood navigation head unit. I hope to learn a lot from this forum.....

Welcome! I have no clue about where to find a frame around here. Hell, I can't even find regular parts for my 03 F-150, let alone a darn frame, but I'll definitely keep on the look out.

the only place I can think of close to you is county line auto recycling in ridgecrest ca. Gordon used to keep lots of older stuff but he did not part it out. You may have to buy a whole truck.
201 County Line Road Ridgecrest, CA 93555

Welcome to the NV Chapter, John.

I'm sure the guys in the vehicle specific forum for your older truck will have the best line on parts.

Post some pics of your rigs if you get a chance.
