Lets plan a snow run

I think it would be fun to go play in the snow, nothing hardcore but some sledding and a fire sounds like fun to me.

Where you thinking at? I think snoqualmie pass allows sledding...

If we go up to a pass/resort, I'll probably go snowboarding for part of the day, then join up with the rest of you guys. I'll be happy to teach anyone who doesn't mind constantly falling on their face and *** '

I'd be interested if it involved more wheeling vs sledding

ford 390 v-8, rebuilt,low miles
WELL!!!. The weekend started out with me just thinking it was a vacume leak, since the truck sat for 10+ years before I got it a couple years ago, So I decided to replace the intake with a perfomer that I had laying around on another truck. But I thought checking the compression first would be a good idea and found #1 cylinder had only 30 lbs and all the others were at 120 . This really put a damper on my weekend so i figured for now I would just run it as is for the winter while I built the engine that I wanted and thats when my luck went from bad to worse. I took the truck into town for fuel and on my way back it started popping back through the carb and bellowing smoke from the right side exhaust.

I have enough cash for a mild rebuild but I really want to build a stroker, my dilemma is this truck is my emergency [snow] vehicle, so i need something cheap to get me through the winter.

I have seen that 390 on CL but it is a gamble purchasing an engine that you cant hear run

That's a risk that you have to take. I've bought three engines off cl in the past 2ish years that I never heard run, and they all have worked fine.

If it doesn't, at least you have a good long block

I wouldn't mind some sledding, i got an innertube i am saving for winter that i used on the green river this last summer. I also got 2 old snow boards with no straps. I'm sure we could rig up some rope to tie our feet in or something. I got them free from a dumpster at my old job so if they broke i wouldn't cry about it. I have yet to do anything with them besides let them get covered in dirt from sitting.

I have heard they are pretty old but i don't know anything about boards and since i "acquired" them from a dumpster i wasn't worried about it.
