4.6 in my box

I just scored a nice '60 F 100 and was thinking I'd drop the 4.6 out of my '95 Lincoln in it along with the automatic... I'm leaning toward a front k member out of an '03 and up Crown Vic but I was wondering about the wiring and what needs to leave the Lincoln and come along with the power train? Anyone familiar with this type of swap?

Lots of those swaps have been done. I'm sure if you search around the forums a little you can find some build threads.

Try to get the whole car,the more you can use the better.

I used motor ,trans,radiator,ac compressor etc,in my 53.

I bought a wiring harness from The Detail Zone.

You can use the lincoln harness if you have the patience.

I am planning to do the same thing to my 60 crew cab.

I have the 04 front end ,and I am looking for a wrecked 1999-2004 Crown Vic donor.

The Marauder IFS is essentially the same. I don't recall which model of the Crown Vic had the same springs on the front as the Marauder.

I actually have a complete '95 Lincoln town car and its really a pretty descent old car... and the motor has less than 5000 miles on it since it was replaced...
Wish it had the newer stile k member front suspension but I plan to use the entire drive train in my truck... I had wondered if I could use the wiring harness but I wasn't sure about how compatible it would be with switches, gauges, etc....

Do you want hub to hub or where the IFS bolts to the frame? The width where it bolts to the frame is ~ the same as our frame.

What fun-ford said - 'if you have the patience'. I've read where some guys have gone through the whole harness and eliminated everything that's not needed for their application. Modular V8 and V10 Conversions and Swaps is a website that has a lot of good info, also try Fuel Injection Technical Library » Home.
I've got a '57 that I plan on putting my '95 Mark VIII in also but haven't started yet.

Steve
