No Power to Fuel Sending Unit

Hey guys,

Ford noob here trying to see if others had a similar issue with no power to the fuel sending unit. First thought was the fuel gauge as its stuck on empty but I did the gauges sweep test and the thing moves. Then, we replaced the sending unit and as that didn't solve it, we checked to see if it was getting power and it is not.

So, there must be a short somewhere. There are no fuses or relay for the sending unit as far as I know and dumb me forgot to check what color is the wire to trace it. If somebody knows or can point me to the right direction, I appreciate it.

Nope. Doesn't that only cutoff the fuel pump?

The truck runs fine and before power to the sending unit went completely out, the fuel gauge would intermittently go out but work again.

I thought about that too but wouldn't there be one hot wire for the sending unit. When we had the new sending unit connected but not installed inside the tank, we jumped a wire from the (-) post to the ground wire on the sending unit while moving the arm and that didn't solve it for a bad ground.
