97 4.2l obsolete knock sensor

97 4.2l obsolete knock sensor

while putting in a new motor in my 97 E250 (4.2L)I broke the Knock sensor. I can't find a new one anywhere. Tried Ford, Rock Auto, napa, ebay, oreilys, etc Ford said it is obsolete. A few other show it but none have it in stock. It was manufactured in feb 1997. Any suggestions on how to switch to a different one? can I run without it?

I need the number off your NOX sensor, or your trucks Calibration Code.

The numbers on the sensor are F65F-AA 12A699

In the same boat

I know this post is old, but I am looking for the same part number knock sensor. I find it sad that when you call ford they tell you to try a junk yard. Any help would be great. THANKS
