My old crew cab
I sold it about 3-4 years ago with first right to buy if he ever sells it. The guy is a disabled nam vet and has decided to sell it because the flywheel gear is bad and he can no longer get anything done, I got an email last night from him. I'm going over and talk to him today.
390, 4 speed, power steering and brakes.

beautiful crew mr. 4bts are great, but in my opinion you will be disappointed... for one there more money the the 6bt and for a full size truck there not gonna preform like the 6bt will. dont get me wrong you make the 4bt do what ever you want, ive seen people get 800 hp out of a 4bt. but to do that you have to dump a ton of money into it. a stock 6bt will be impressive with a couple cheap garage mods you can do at home. now having said that i have a 4bt in my toyota and i love it... with a few mods

it pulls small trailers fine and goes anywhere you point it, but its really low geared. my top speed is 60mph. if the truck was any larger i would like to have more.
with a truck like a crew you would be so much happier with a 6bt, tons of room under the hood. big wheel base so you can pull any trailer you had the power to.... just my thoughts...
hope you get that bad a rig back.

That's true there a bit heavier. But if its 4wd I think the 04 to 99 superduty springs will pretty much bolt right up. But I do have to agree if there is a rut on a snowy / muddy road a diesel will find it. I wish ya luck hop it goes home with ya. Crazed 87 bronco knows all about the 99 to 04 sd springs

It's a 2wd. I don't generally have much need of 4wd, find that the trade off isn't worth it because 99.9% of the time you don't use it anyway and you have to crawl up in the bed to get tools and stuff and have the harsh ride. That's one of the things I always liked about this crew cab, it's low and I can get stuff out of the bed easy.
