Need info and decoding on 63 econline pickup
First all my tracking paperwork refers to the Warrranty number even though its says not to be used for title or registration or title purposes, but I can't find the vin number. warranty number is E1OSH390905
Is this correct :
E10= regular pickup
S 144 CU IN 6
H LORAIN ASSY PLANT
390905 March of 1963
my D.S.O. is 830144 the 83 is government and I'm guessing 0144 refers to the engine size
the color code was E which is Viking Blue so I'm thinking Air Force I bought it in the Seattle Tacoma area (McChord Air Force Base).
Is it unusual to use warranty number for vin number and where is the real vin number (the under side has very heavy original undercoating)

E10 = Econoline Pickup.
S = 144 1V I-6.
H = Lorain OH Assembly Plant.
390905 = 1963, assembled March 1963.
E = Viking Blue Metallic.
830144:
83 = Ordered by the US Government.
0144: Domestic Special Order number. Gov't ordered the Econoline special, did not buy it off the lot.
IMO, a USAF vehicle would not have been painted a metallic color. Official color was a dark shade of blue.
