2012 6.2L annoyance
It's true...I finally found something I do NOT like about the 2012 6.2L in the SuperDuty trucks.
Ok...here it is...the oil dipstick! Really??? Who designed that thing? It's pretty difficult to put back in...and not bend it all out of whack. This is a two hand operation. LOL!
Other than that small issue...I'm lovin' the BOSS engine!

I find that giving it a twist as you are pushing it in makes it slide in a lot easier than just jamming it in without rotating your wrist at the same time. I just can't remember if it's clockwise or counter-clockwise but it will be obvious the first time you try it. It will go in like a hot knife in butter.

During this 1st 5000 miles...I have checked mine after each tow. Just want to make sure I am not burning any oil during break-in. As far as I can tell...I am steady on the dipstick.
Yes...using a twisting motion one hand near tube opening...and the other guiding it in.
I'm just not sure if the wire type oil dipstick would have been a better approach???
Still...these are remarkable trucks...and I have a GRIN imprint as I roll down the road.

Whoah, I got one now. This old pfart has a stiff back and shoulders this am after hooking up to two of the upfitter wires yesterday.
That is a real nut roll to get both paws under the dash there to splice into the wires.
I bet the designer does not have a clue how difficult he made it to reach.

I think it's the same guy that designed the 12' long dipstick for the V10 in my motor home. Still loving my new truck.
