Kendall Oil

anyone use Kendall oil (blended)
I was looking at tires today and the salesman was telling me about it
said he sold it by the quart for 3.25 and if I brought him my used oil for his heater he would sell it for 3.00 a quart

I have never used Kendall and just wanted to get some thoughts

Is that's what's sold at O'Reilly Auto Parts? If so, I used some 2-cycle oil of theirs in my weedeater...it was so corrosive or acidic that it ate through my fuel lines.

If this is for your diesel...stick with Shell Rotella T or Chevron Delo. If you buy it at Sam's or on sale somewhere like Wal-Mart by the gallon, it will be the same price as that Kendall stuff.

I used to use the regular stuff in my car forever ago. Kind of hard to find around my part of the country. I guess there really wasn't anything wrong with it car ran to well over 200K before trans issues killed it. As for their truck oil never used it. Always used Delvac here.

This stuff?

If so go for it, it is as good as any other CJ-4 oil IMHO. The oil company formerly known as ConocoPhillips made the motorcraft diesel oil. If it is not CJ-4 rated just walk away.

I didn't even now they still sold Kendall. I used it in the late 80's and haven't seen it since. Nowhere to be found around here (that I know of).

There are only so many oil companies & a lot of oil gets renamed. Kendall made Harley-Davidson oil since before WW2 & they still might make it.

The old Kendall green oil is now Brad Penn. Our History
Damn good stuff. Used to use it in the race car. Never tried it in the truck as I am satified with Rotella.
