Hello forum, we want to replace our 60 f-250 seat with a junk yard find. Which years trucks can I look in for a drop in replacement? 4 spd. will stay, and I can fit/ weld, so I know I can modify anything, just not sure what trouble signs to look for thank ya'll
Mine is from an '83 f150. There's tons of foam and real nice cloth cover. I used the rails and track from the '59 and with only a couple of holes to drill, fits right in. It's one of the best improvements I've made to the hard riding ole F350.
Listen to Spurredon, he gets right down to business without a lot of and directs you to the proper source. My headstone won't say "he was a man of few words".........
My seat came out of an 02 Silverado with the 40/20/40 split and integrated seat belts.
Does the Silverado seat use it's original brackets, or do you need to use the original Ford brackets? I just looked up some of these locally and they seem quite reasonable. $1-150.00. I like the idea of the integrated seat belts.
Thank ya'll for all that! very helpful- we were at the yards sat., almost bought the first one we saw- now I see we could put many possibilities in. we'll get some pics on here somehow, thanks again
I used the back seat from an '08 Tahoe. It looks great and fits well. It's got nice high backs and head rests. No cup holders though. Couldn't use any of the old frame, and need to do some cutting on the seat frame to get it to sit low enough. The seat belts have to bold to the cab.
Probably not the best alternative, but it works.
