NEW RAPTOR ORDERED

Well I traded in my old truck for one of them Raptors today. Should be here early next week. Are they as good as the price demands? I need a 4x4, and wanted somthing special to last awhile. What should I know that`s bad besides the gas mileage?

I picked up my Raptor today. Tux Black. Now I have to read the stack of manuals that comes with it.Plenty of power, smooth ride, nice rumble. My salesman is Victor Wickersham, race car driver back in the 60`s that piloted a white 64 1/2 Mustang Fastback with 427 built by Holmes and Moody? that ran 8`s. He said that he still owns it.

I don`t have any pics yet.. By the time I got home with it, it was 9:30. Then yesterday I got home from work and was too wore out and dirty to drive it. Today I took it to the insurance place to get it added on and the girls that worked there had to come out and crawl all up in it to check it out. Then I took it back to the dealership and dropped it off to get the bed liner sprayed and lojack installed. Basicly it`s a bad *** high performance 4x4 with style. I found out that the engine is a Boss 6.2, and it will push you back in the seat when you hit it`s tourque band. I don`t know what else is out there, but Ford nailed it on this one. Thanks, Chuck

Yeah the 6.2L is a beast. Love the sound that engine emits. The Raptor is definitely a good choice as it'll pretty much do anything you want, with some very far off limits. Congrats again!

I picked it up from the dealership after work today. They did a professional job on the spray in bedliner. It looks like they unbolted everything before spraying it. Took it off-road to get familiar with the 4x4 features and I was actually impressed. Noticed the trany temp getting hotter as I dogged on it. I never had a vehicle w/ trans temp gauge before. I`ll have to read up on the max allowed. So far so good.

I have a couple hundred mi. on the Raptor so far and I`m thinking to myself why would anybody want to buy a Vette? This thing reminds me of a Swiss Army knife. You can take it anywhere and do anything. Bar None

It`s a 2012,paid the sticker price. They usually mark it up a few thousand because it`s a premium vehicle. I`ve been eyeballing some custom wheels and tires from 4wheel parts. It already broke down on me,fried the computer.I`m not too happy about that, just glad it didn`t happen in the desert mountains last month when I took it out.

Gotcha. I'll be in the market soon and have it narrowed down to another F250 or a Raptor. It seems as though they will be about the same price. I guess I will have to go test drive one and check out the fun factor.
